CL16 - Spotlight on Stem Cells « Vessel physiopathology and vascularized organoids »

Colloque n°16 - Salle Club de l'Atlantique

Résumé

The « DevStem » scientific cluster at Nantes University fosters collaborations among researchers focused on human stem cells, development, ageing, organoids and diseases modelling. This initiative aims to strengthen the human pluripotent stem cell or tissue-specific adult stem cell biology field in the Nantes region; it also aligns with the French Society of Stem Cells Research (FSSCR) to enhance the national research efforts of the French stem cell community. This Nantes University scientific conference follows on from previous editions organized by the DevStem network.

This symposium aims to bring together national and international scientists for a day dedicated to organoids and complex 3D cell cultures integrating the vascular component. Vascularization is central to tissue function and plays a decisive role in many pathologies: cardiology, oncology, transplantation, tissue regeneration, and aging. Reproducing this complexity in 3D increases our ability to model human diseases and thus opens up a new field of exploration of fundamental mechanisms, promoting the emergence of innovative therapeutic strategies.

This day-meeting located in the exceptional setting of the Cité des Congrès in Nantes is intended to be a space for scientific exchange, promoting in-depth discussions, comparisons of methodological approaches, and the emergence of new academic collaborations around vascularized 3D models. The program will include contributions from both established and junior researchers.

Don’t miss the chance to hear our keynote speakers, renowned experts in their fields:
  • Valeria Orlova, Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands
  • Diana Passaro, Cochin Institute, Paris, France
  • Reiner Wimmer, Roche, Basel, Switzerland
